Meghan,
Love your blog. Found it through the Tim Ferris blog. Just thought I'd browse and see what you have going on. I'm a bit of a fashion idiot but I love creativity and design. Not sure what that says about me! Anyway keep up the good work. And as an effort to add value to you for the time I've taken up by writing this, here's something that's been a great source of creative benefit to me: Ignore Everybody by Hugh MacLeod. Funny. Pointed. Seems to make a lot of sense.
Cheers!

Oh, and maybe some next time when you are visiting the Dutchman-at-large, you guys should consider taking a trip up the road and visit us in Berlin. There is a LOT to see and do here!!!

On May 17 I had the pleasure of attending my Sister's college graduation, along with her twenty something daughters. I wore the storm cloud colored structured contour line dress, in organic cotton twill. I loved the comfortable fit and I didn't feel disheveled after the 4 hour drive! I recommend this dress to anyone who wants to feel good in what they wear. I am also impressed that the apparel brand is designed with the environment in mind. I am proud to call this young woman, my daughter. Irene

"If it’s not something you wore 5 years ago, it’s probably a trend."

I don't think I agree with that. Tastes also change over time (mature?). I wear things now that I wouldnt have worn 5 years ago, but I feel comfortable doing so, and feel they suit me, even if they didn't 5 years ago.... That doesnt necessarily imply it's a trend: it's a change in taste!
For the rest: great advice though!

Hi Jenna,
No worries! Twitter sounds like a good idea! I'll give it a try today to see how it goes. I'm @megnewton. I'll post back here in a bit to say how it's going. Talk to you soon, I have some new ideas to run by you as well.

Olaf,
Yeah, yeah, yeah... you're right. :)

Hey Megs! I'm so sorry I have been so absent lately...this past month and a half has been overwhelming, to say the least. I'm going to write you an email sometime in the next could of days, but have you thought about Twitter? I recently started "Tweeting" and I love it! It's a great way to get an audience you can continually update. Plus you can promote any company news or specials. Just a thought :) Hope all it well!

Not easy, eh? But I think the Dutchman-at-large is totally right though: it is the single most important thing for a small business owner... getting your product out into the open to make sure people know it exists and to make people aware that it is a product they want to purchase. but it's not easy... (I dont envy you)
